Thomasville Firefighter Random Acts Of Kindness

This project was a vision of Chaplain Richard Waddell. A Special thanks for him for making this come together! The organization provided each firefighter with an Armor of God coin as a token of appreciation. These coins serve as a challenge to each firefighter. Below is a description of its purpose. 

  What The Armor of

God Represents

 The Armor of God is based on a scripture found in the New Testament. The Apostle Paul states in Ephesians 6:12-13, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Paul then describes the individual pieces of armor in verses 14-17. "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with the truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Finally, in verse 18, Paul admonishes us to pray always.

On the front side of the coin are two shields bearing the letters "RWH," which stand for "Return With Honor." This reminds us of the importance of not just serving, but serving honorably.
